Ethnomedicinal study of the flora of Sellay Pattay valley, District Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Background: Plants are the basic source of medicines to treat and remediate different health concerns. The current study was aimed evaluate knowledge folk medicinal Flora in Sellay Pattay valley, district Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Methods: Ethnomedicinal carried out document indigenous about use plants. data gathered through interviews with randomly chosen informants field. obtained from were analyzed various statistical indices such as Frequency citation (RFC), Relative frequency Use relative (UR), value (UV), Fidelity level (FL), Informant consensus factor (ICF). Results: A total 111 plant species belonged 58 families documented, amongst them Lamiaceae leading family 12 species. highest (Uv) recorded for Justicia adhatoda L. (0.98), while lowest (0.24) Myosotis alpestris F.W.Schmidt. reported Morus alba a 150 depicted Calotropis procera (Aiton) Dryand. 28. 0.50, Malvastrum coromandelianum (L.) Garcke 0.08. plants including Amaranthus viridis L., Rumex hastatus D. Don, Eucalyptus camaldulensis Dehnh., Ajuga bracteosa Wall. ex Benth. had FL 98.88% against specific disorders Acacia modesta Wall., Olea ferruginea Aitch., Ziziphus oxyphylla Edgew., nigra Dysphania botrys Mosyakin & Clemants having more than 80% FL.
